A new department starts with a small headquarters, one officer, and one old patrol vehicle. Unit Alpha is that first vehicle. Extra recruits cannot take calls until headquarters milestones open more slots, so the first session is about finishing calls and buying the next headquarters level.
Pick one founding officer
The opening recruit is one of three roles. Later hires use the same roles, but this choice is the only officer you have for the first calls.
| Officer | Role | Perk | What the profile emphasizes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dwayne Carter Jr. | Assault | Point Man: +10% effectiveness during interventions | Accuracy, tactics, and movement speed |
| Ramirez | Breacher | First Through: improved breach performance | Tactics, breaching, and protection; speed is a bit lower |
| Morgan | Medic | No One Left Behind: keep far more rewards after a failed operation | Support and survivability; less direct combat |
Choose Carter when the calls on the map are store alarms and you expect to clear them. Choose Ramirez when the prompt is a barricaded door. Choose Morgan when you are still learning entries and a failed raid would wipe the payout. Profiles also describe Carter as aggressive and decisive, Ramirez as calm and methodical, and Morgan as disciplined and dependable.
Answer the first calls
- Open the dispatch screen and select a call. Early examples are commercial alarms, store robberies, suspicious activity, and pursuits.
- Send Unit Alpha. On a building call, choose front entry, rear entry, or a side breach when the scene offers it.
- Let the squad clear rooms, order suspects into custody, and pick up evidence cases and contraband cash before you leave.
- Read the summary. It grades Speed, Captures, Safety, and Damage. Better grades pay more cash, department experience, and gear.
A published example of a fast clear is 34 seconds, with letter grades such as S or A. That figure is an example from a completed call, not a requirement.
Spend cash on the station before the roster
Headquarters Level 3 opens more garage space and Unit Charlie. Department Level 3 is the label used for the Downtown district in dispatch writeups. The two counters may be the same milestone shown in two places. Confirm the number on your own headquarters panel before you buy.
Level 4 is described as the point where officer capacity grows again. Until a slot exists, a Personnel File from SWATTEAM has nowhere to land.
While you wait on upgrades, station chores still pay attention: replace worn brake pads, wash cruisers, clean the armory, organize evidence, and process incident reports.
Then open research
Research runs one project at a time unless a premium pass expands the queue. The pass named Research Queue is for sale at 149 Robux, but its catalog description is blank, so it is not confirmed that this pass is the queue expansion.
The first useful project is the automatic-dispatch research. Writeups call it Dynamic Building Records, automated dynamics, automated patrol policies, or automated response. After it finishes, patrol units take minor street calls without a manual assignment. See the research guide for the full node list.
Codes that change the first hour
Redeem from Store, lower left, using the Enter Code field at the upper right. SHIELDUP pays $900 and a Duty Refill. TEARGAS pays $1,550 and 50 RP. MANAGER1 adds a Duty Refill and a 1-hour Timer Skip. SWATTEAM adds a Personnel File and 100 RP if a roster slot is open. NIGHTOPS asks for Department Level 5 and only lists the reward as Free Rewards. The full list is on Codes.
